GRANDSON FUN (DAY ONE)

The countdown is done.

The fun has begun.

This time with two grandsons, Silas and Hunter.  After spending Friday evening at the "Bolder Fresher" show, Debra and I awakened Saturday morning, headed to the Weathersby's house, and picked up the boys for a three day visit.

Before we headed south with Silas and Hunter, we all had lunch together.
Then it was time to get in the car and go.
Silas asked if he could use my camera.  I said yes.  Hunter couldn't quite figure out whether or not he wanted the camera pointed in his direction.
The drive was long, but the boys did a great job of keeping themselves entertained in the back seat with a deck of cards.
At one of the rest stops along the way, we all got out of the car and Silas said, "Hey, come here.  I want to show you something."  We followed him to what turned out to be a climbing tree.
We finally arrived at the House on Oak Valley where the boys waited for me on our Adirondack love seat before going to dinner at the restaurant of Hunter's choice: McDonalds.
After dinner, it was time to go swimming.  But passing through the clubhouse on our way to the pool, the boys got distracted:  Silas by a pool table and Hunter by a treadmill.
The boys were a bit concerned about sharing the pool with a bunch of old people.  As it turned out, however, the three of us had the entire pool to ourselves.

Hunter with a nostril pinch jump.

Trying to regain composure after choking on water.
With our time in the pool done, we passed through the clubhouse once again where Silas found himself behind the eight ball.
After another session on the treadmill, Hunter mentioned that he felt in better shape after using the treadmill than he felt when we first entered the clubhouse.
After using this exercise machine, Hunter mentioned that his arms felt stronger.  He even flexed his biceps to show us how much bigger they had become as a result of his brief workout on this machine.
Silas tries the treadmill while Hunter, with ping pong paddle in hand, waits to play a game with me.
After five or ten minutes of paddling the ball back and forth, Hunter mentioned how much better we were both getting.
Cousins compete.
Then we walked back home with Hunter in the lead, Silas following, and me taking up the rear and the camera.
Ice cream consumption capped off the evening.
The boys crawled into their sleeping bags before 9:00 p.m. without complaint.  They fell asleep almost instantly.  I told them I would be getting them up early in the morning for a boys-only surprise outing.  They tried to figure out what the surprise was going to be, but I wouldn't tell them.  They'll just have to wait until tomorrow to find out.
